Question 1 of 2 · Multiple choice

Your Involuntary Churn Rate is performing above industry median (higher than desired) but your Voluntary Churn Rate is in line with your industry. What's the most appropriate first action?

See answer
Check your dunning window length and Account Updater status. Involuntary churn is driven by payment failure — subscribers didn't choose to leave, their payment method failed and wasn't recovered. The fix is on the payment recovery side: extending your dunning window gives Recurly's retry engine more time to recover invoices, and Account Updater silently refreshes card details before and after failures. Cancellation save flows and pricing changes address voluntary churn, which is a separate problem.
Question 2 of 2 · Reflection

Which of your 8 benchmark KPIs is furthest from your industry median right now — and what's one configuration change you could make this week to start closing that gap?

Open your benchmark dashboards and compare each KPI against the median marker. Pick the one with the biggest gap and match it to the action steps from this path. You don't need to fix everything at once — one focused change, measured over the next 30 days, is the right place to start.
