Pricing & plans 201: Advanced

You've built the foundation. This path goes deeper — into the pricing architectures that mature subscription businesses use to segment markets, structure enterprise billing, charge for real-world usage, and measure what's actually driving revenue.

What this path covers

Pricing & Plans 101 covered the core configuration: plans, add-ons, currencies, pricing models, trials, and analytics. This path assumes that foundation is in place and builds on it. Each page focuses on a specific capability that becomes relevant as a subscription business grows — from serving multiple customer segments without duplicating plans, to billing enterprise accounts under a unified structure, to measuring performance beyond the built-in dashboards.

Work through in order for the most complete picture, or go directly to the topic most relevant to your current situation.

Prerequisite: Pricing & Plans 101

This path builds directly on plans, add-ons, pricing models, currencies, and trials. If you haven't covered those yet, start with Pricing & Plans 101 first — the 201 configurations assume those foundations are already in place.

Some features covered here require an Elite plan or engineering integration

Account Hierarchy, Invoice Rollup, and Analytics Explore may not be included in Starter or Pro plans. Contact Recurly Sales to confirm eligibility for your plan. Usage billing requires an API integration. Invoice Rollup also requires Calendar Billing and must be enabled by Recurly Support. These are flagged on the relevant pages so you know what to plan for before diving in.
