Benchmarks Dashboard walkthrough
~5 minRecurly's 4 reporting layers
Recurly gives you multiple ways to access your data — from one-click dashboards to BI tooling. Knowing which layer to use for which question makes analysis faster and more actionable.

Try itNavigate your Benchmarks Dashboard
Open the Benchmarks Dashboard
In your Recurly admin, go to Analytics → Benchmarks overview. You'll see an overview of your KPIs compared to industry peers.
Select your industry vertical
Use the industry filter to select your vertical (e.g., SaaS, Media). Your benchmarks adjust to compare you against relevant peers.
Read each metric card
Each card shows your current rate, the benchmark range by quartile, and your trend line. Note which KPIs need attention.
Apply date range filters
Compare metrics month-over-month to spot trends. Improving direction often matters more than your current level when evaluating new optimizations.
Try the AI Assistant
Open Analytics → Dashboard. Next, find your Compass AI Assistant, a "sparkle" located at the bottom right corner of your interface. Ask it plain-language questions about your growth or subscriber trends.
Always evaluate your KPIs against your industry vertical for the most accurate health check. A sign-up decline rate that looks high in isolation may be typical for your pricing model.
Stack up against the competition: mastering benchmarks
Strategic CSM Dan Shipley defines the 9 core benchmarks, shows how to interpret industry quartiles, and shares high-impact strategies — including prepaid card blocking and gateway failover — to improve your performance against peers.
