The 1-Click Resubscribe use case targets churned users visiting your site with a re-activation prompt. When their payment information is already on file, they can restart their subscription instantly — with an optional confirmation step to verify intent.

  • You must have Company, App Administrator, or App Member permissions in Recurly Engage.

Step-by-step

Create your segments

Create a Churned Users segment. Optionally, create a separate Dunning segment.

Create the prompt

Create a Notification Prompt (Settings > Prompts).

Customize the prompt

Customize the headline, message, and dynamic variables, like first name.

Configure the reactivation action

Under Add Action, select your billing platform and specify the reactivation plan.

Set the effective date (optional)

Set the effective date for the plan change if you'd like one.

Target Test Users

Target the prompt to the Test Users segment.

Set the trigger

Set the trigger to fire on your homepage (for example, URL /).

Launch the prompt

Add yourself as a test user

Add your user ID to Test Users (Settings > Users > Test Users).

Verify the prompt

Confirm the prompt appears when you visit your homepage.

Roll out to production

Update the targeting to include the Churned Users segment for production.
