Drill down metrics

Unlock deeper insights with Granular Analytics for Pulse. Learn how to use Drill Down Metrics to filter prompt performance by language, segment, and device category for more precise user behavior analysis.

Overview

To provide our partners with more sophisticated data, we are introducing Drill Down Metrics within the Pulse platform. This feature moves beyond aggregate data, allowing you to slice and dice prompt performance across multiple dimensions.

By implementing granular tracking, you can now view how specific audience subsets interact with your content without needing to create separate prompts for every market or user trait. This initial rollout focuses on high-priority filters including Localization (Language), User Segments, and Device Categories.

Key benefits

  • Multi-Dimensional Insights: Gain a holistic view of how different user groups engage with the same prompt.
  • Optimized Localization Tracking: Instead of running separate prompts for every region, use a single localized prompt and filter performance by specific languages (e.g., distinguishing between EN-GB and EN-US).
  • Targeted Performance Visibility: Attribute interactions to specific segments, allowing you to see how "Premium Subscribers" vs. "Trial Users" respond to the same call-to-action.
  • Device-Specific Analysis: Understand engagement patterns across different platforms, including Phone, Tablet, and TV.
  • Operational Efficiency: Reduce dashboard clutter by consolidating regional campaigns into single, multi-segment prompts while maintaining full reporting granularity.

Key steps

  1. Open the Prompt you’d like to filter performance for
  2. Apply granular filters
    1. Select one or more of the following dimensions to update your metrics in real-time:
      1. Language/Locale: Filter results based on the specific translation the user viewed.
      2. Segment: Filter by the most specific user segment (e.g., specific market segments or subscription tiers).
      3. Device Category: Drill down into performance specifically for Phone, Tablet, or TV SDKs.
