Implementation process

Recurly Professional Services recommends a multi-phase approach to onboarding merchants to RevRec. This path provides stability and allows adjustments for unique requirements at each stage.

1

Phase 1 — BRD/CRP creation and review

Recurly and the merchant collaborate to create and review the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and the Configuration Requirement Plan (CRP). These documents establish how the RevRec site should be configured, forming the foundation for all subsequent phases.

2

Phase 2 — Core design and configuration

Using the BRD and CRP, Recurly designs the solution and configures the Revenue Recognition module to fit your revenue recognition strategy. Recurly configures templates, conducts design reviews, and obtains customer sign-off on the design before proceeding.

3

Phase 3 — Integration

All systems are connected to enable a smooth flow of data and operations. Recurly and the customer review and sign off on test scenarios, the customer validates configurations and prepares necessary data, and both parties complete system and integration unit testing. Any identified issues are addressed and resolved by Recurly.

4

Phase 4 — UAT

The customer provisions data, performs data conversion, and executes User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios. Results are reviewed, and any issues are addressed and re-deployed by Recurly. The customer signs off on UAT to confirm satisfaction with the solution.

5

Phase 5 — Go live

Recurly prepares a cutover plan, provisions the production environment, and deploys the necessary services. The customer prepares final conversion data and performs a sanity check in production. With Recurly's support, the customer goes live with the RevRec solution.
