September 22, 2026 - Recurly Subscription Management

The September 22nd release brings a strong mix of platform improvements across tax, communications, and payments infrastructure. Vertex merchants can now map up to 10 custom fields to Flexible Fields, and new email template parameters make plan and add-on change notifications smarter and more relevant for subscribers. Point-of-sale merchants gain a streamlined single-call NTID flow, while Brazilian merchants on EBANX will now see IOF tax surfaced directly on transaction details. On the gateway side, a Stripe chargeback fix ensures subscriptions expire correctly on fraud and service-related disputes — and CyberSource mid-volume merchants should note their migration window is September 21st–23rd.

Sep 22Stripe GatewayBug fixMedRecurly has resolved an issue where certain fraud and service-related chargeback reason codes were not being recognized, which could prevent affected subscriptions from expiring automatically. This is a behind-the-scenes fix — no action is required.
Sep 22Cybersource GatewayEnhancementHighRecurly is continuing migrations to the newest version of Cybersource. Mid-volume merchants will be migrated between September 21st-23rd. Please contact support with any questions.
